Volkswagen is in talk with Ducati

A talk is on the process between Audi AG (NSU) and SpA (DMH) which is a luxurious motorcycles manufacturers whose motorcycles are been used by celebrities like Brad Pitt. This talk is going on in order to buy Ducati, who are makers of motorcycles.
At first Audi made a refusal for the purchase of the motorbike company till the mid of April, who was considering the total price as 850 million Euros, that is of $ 1.12 billion for the company of Italy.
The chairman of Volkswagen AG (VOW), Ferdinand Piech , for the first time expressed in public about the buying of the company ,Ducati, in the April of 2008. The bought will make a difference for the motorbike company as it will get the brand name of the VW’s nine products with it. These nine products will include the brands like Audi, Skoda and Lamborghini and also the makers of heavy trucks naming Scania AB (SCVB) and MAN SE.
Ducati had the selling units of 42,000 bikes in the last year, which had a 39 % of increment in the earnings even before calculating the interest, taxes and depreciation etc. which had a 93 million Euros in the year of 2011.
Ducati had a low liability of which is less than 200 million Euros, according to the spokesperson of the Investindustrial who declined to identify the name, but cite the policy of the company. This would be a successful collaboration for the two branded companies.
