Aqua Luna Offers Harbour Discovery Tours
by Luxury.Net
Enjoy the ultimate Hong Kong experience aboard aqua Luna, one of the Hong Kong’s last remaining red-sail Chinese Junk boats. Lie back in the comfort of your own sofa bed, indulge in one of aqua luna’s hip cocktail and soak in Hong Kong’s views and skyline. Possible the last handicraft traditional Chinese junk to be built in Hong Kong using old age design and traditional materials by an 80 year old local carftsman, aqua luna is known as ‘Cheung Po tsai’ in Cantonese, named after the infamous Chueng Chua Island pirate who use to terrorize these waters. For anyone who’s ever complained about having to cross the harbor, there’s now a new and much swankier way to do it (that doesn’t involve cramming into the crowded Star Ferry).
Starting this July, the iconic aqua luna Chinese junk boat with its beautiful red sails is now offering “Harbor Discovery” tours that will be sure to impress locals and tourists alike. Sailing from 12pm to 5pm every Tuesday and Friday, the aqua luna lets you hop-on and hop-off at any of its four stops in Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, Wanchai and Hung Hom. Whether you get on or off is another question, as the aqua Luna’s comfy sofa beds and range of cocktails and snacks on board might just convince you to stay on board for the full 45-minute ride.
tart in Central with some breakfast at IFC, and then sail over to Tsim Sha Tsui for some retail therapy at the shopping mecca that is Harbor City.
