In 2010, they celebrated 45th anniversary, and now consider it a celebration of the life of a woman who broke the mold – their founder, Ruth Fertel.

This might be the first of its kind in Singapore, but Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is in actual fact, the largest luxury steakhouse in the world, overshadowing even the famous Morton’s. Founder Ruth Fetel bought over the original Chris Steak House in 1965 with the intention of running a neighborhood steakhouse, and since then, the number of restaurants has grown to a staggering 121, including seven in Asia.
Custom-aged USDA Prime and Australian wagyu steaks are served at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, and follows the original cooking and serving method developed by Fetel; the steaks are first cooked in a trademarked 982-degree Celsius oven, then served sizzling hot on a plate heated to 260 degrees, with no sauces added.
