ILTM Asia celebrates the luxury travel growth

The ‘invitation only’ exclusive event for planners and designers of adapted luxury travel experiences, ILTM Asia (International Luxury Travel Market Asia) 2012, closed its sixth edition in Shanghai, announcing that over 21,000 business appointments had taken place during the three day event.
They are dedicated to deliver a business environment where VIP hosted buyers meet luxury travel suppliers on an exclusive one-to-one basis. This year the event was experienced by saw 440 buyers, 20% more than the last year’s event. The suppliers attend the show from 20 countries across the Asia Pacific.
Kozue Murakami, Head of Far East Sales, Maybourne Hotel Group said that its only after their return to ILTM Asia, they realize the benefit of attending the particular show, getting the target audience of both India and China. Mark Beverlo, International Sales Manager of The Ritz London said that it is definite that they are going to come back the next year due to the inspirational panel discussions and beneficial networking agents. Tony Stern, CEO, Owner and Designer of Africa’s luxury river safari Zambezi Queen said that it was their first experience in ILTM Asia and that the quality of the buyers are incredible. It also gives them the opportunity to meet the media from a range of the countries. Brigitte Lammle of boutique cruises Antarctica XX1 commented that that is their second ILTM Asia and the quality is still good as the Asian market is raising high steadily.
