Taking the form of a tree trunk, the Fortuna is dubbed a representation of the “materialization of luck and fortunate, a symbol of the control of life and the definition of fate”. The compendium of brass log rings – which form the tabletop – is supported by scaled brass tubes. There are even slits to mimic trunk cracks, reinforcing the idea that beauty exists even in imperfection.
