Reinvention of the Watch

Now Devon has released images of an upcoming Steampunk version of the Tread 1. It started as a concept but due to customer demand they will build them. The Steampunk Tread 1 is the retro-futuristic rethink of the standard Tread 1. The case will likely be made with pieces of bronze and oxidized steel. Rivets and lots of exposed screws complete the steampunk look.
Devon Tread 1 Steampunk Limited Edition Watch sells for $25000. The daring, inventive, and cutting-edge electro-mechanical timepiece amazed the horological world with its exposed movement of interwoven Time Belts based system which was used to indicate the time. Now, Devon has unveiled a steam-punk version of this mechanical wonder, the Devon Tread 1 Steampunk, whose design-style exudes a retro-futuristic feel of the standard Tread 1 watch.
California-based watch maker Devon made a name for themselves a few years ago when they released the Tread 1. The modern looking electro-mechanical timepiece dazzled people with its tread-based system to indicate the time. It was large, highly unorthodox for a high-end timepieces, and a little crazy.
Scott Devon sure shook up the high-end watch world when people got word of the Tread 1. Divorced from all the “tradition” in Switzerland, this California made watch relies instead on suppliers to outfit the aerospace industry. The basic theme of this electro-mechanical timepiece is that time is told on belts (the treads) and read through windows placed over segments of those belts.
