Rakesh Patel, who basically runs a coaching class, registered a complaint of car theft in the month of August. Starting the investigation, the Police department thought that it must have been the work of car thieves. Later, it turned out to be the act of a 21-year-old student studying at Parul Institute located in Waghodia. Nirav Patel stole the luxury car of his teacher Rakesh Patel as he was fascinated by it and wanted to drive it once. The act of theft is surprising as Police later found that Nirav came from a good family and his father also has a car.

Just after the arrest, Nirav was admitted to the hospital as he told Police that he consumed rat poison moments before his arrest. Nirav is student of Rakesh, who runs coaching classes on Pratapnagar Road. According to the police sources, Rakesh registered a complaint with them on August 24, stating that his Volkswagen car had gone missing from the parking lot near his classes.

A Police official said that, “He told the police that his car went missing two days before he registered the complaint. Rakesh suspected that some student of his class may have committed the theft as he couldn’t find keys of the car as well. He even asked all the students about it but when he didn’t get any response he approached the police.”

The car was found on August 27 from Tarsali area. According to Police, “The security guard posted near the coaching classes had seen a boy driving the car away and he gave us the accused’s description. When we called all the students to identify the accused, Nirav didn’t turn up. We got suspicious and kept watch on his activities.” Eventually, this led the police to the suspect.
