A number of new cameras were declared by Canon on Monday at Photokina, a major European camera show. Among all the cameras there were 6D, a prosumer full frame DSLR and also a few smaller cameras.

In the previous week, Nikon had introduced the camera lovers with their Nikon D60. Nikon has brought full frame cameras to their lowest price point ever which is a bit advantageous for the pro and the powerful fanatic photographers. Earlier those cameras used to cost at least $3000. The D600 and at present the 6D had made the luxuries of full frame slightly more accessible. The 6D has a 20 megapixel sensor accompanied by an extremely wide ISO range which permits the photographers to work in near dark conditions. The $2099 camera has the built features of Wi-Fi and GPS.

The buyers or the photographers who are extremely passionate about the camera are already comparing 6D along with the D600. Though the 6D have superior low-light performance along with a slightly better screen, the Nikon had beaten the Canon on the field of autofocus and viewfinder quality. Such comparisons are regarded truly exploratory until and unless actual tests are done by the expert professionals.

Earlier Canon has also announced new devices in its S and G series of the high end compact cameras. For the past couple of years, S110 have been the best among the most popular point and shoots. The new version of the camera also adds a touch screen, Wi-Fi and a slightly updates sensor. The S cameras have become very much popular due to the fast retain f/2.0 5x zoom lens and also the other features. Both the models of S110 and G15 will be available in October and the 6D is expected to ship in December.
