The Launch of Chinese-language luxury magazine

The largest circulation paper in Chinese language luxury lifestyle publication Nihao America made its debut on September 18. Nihao means “hello” in Chinese which is being pronounced as “knee how”. Nihao America is mainly a compilation of the five popular Nihao media city magazines which includes Nihao New York, Nihao Los Angeles, Nihao Las Vegas, Nihao Hawaii and Nihao San Francisco. In the year 2011, Hong-Kong based Nihao Media launched their first title, Nihao Hawaii in order to meet the requirement of the wealthy Chinese travelers.
The President of Nihao Media, Catherine Lin stated “We are thrilled to share Nihao America with our Chinese readers. So many of our readers are visiting three to five cities during their travels to America, so it made sense for us to give them all the luxury lifestyle information for the most popular American cities in one magazine.” Lin also reported “We are also very focused on our male readers, which make up nearly half of our audience. Our luxury car and private aviation sections are very popular with our male readers. Private aviation is just taking a foot-hold in China, and Nihao America is going to be a great resource for this industry as they learn to connect with business people in China.”
Nihao America features cover model Serena who is gracefully styled in Alexander Mc Queen and shot by Sinisa Nisevic. Their editorial page comprised of extensive fashion coverage, a stylish watch and jewelry guide and also an in-depth beauty section for Chinese readers. The semiannual publication has a rate base of 300,000 and is distributed to the Chinese millionaires visiting the United States. The magazine can be delivered through mail or electronic mail to all the Chinese readers before the readers depart for America. Chinese travelers are spending more on shopping on luxury goods than any other ethnic or socio-economic group.
