While there’s a range of luxury cosmetics you can lay your hands on, what really caught our eye were the ruby eyelashes. Featuring real rubies, these eyelashes combine Lagerfeld’s flamboyant style with Uemera’s Japanese sensibility. Why Uemera? Well, for over a decade, Lagerfeld has been illustrating his sketches with Shu Uemura eye shadows.
The duo has paid attention on the external looks of the pack to be sold which is beautifully packaged with the Mon Shu girl illustration that features Lagerfeld’s trademark white shirt and black tie – she’s a new icon he created using Shu Uemura products. She’s cute, daring and pretty much a Manga character in her own Japanese comic way! The limited edition eyelashes are available online or at the Shu Umera counter at Harrods for $ 1,450.
There are six shades in each palette with top two shades that are combined to render help in creating beautiful contour and gradation around the eyes. The left shade in the middle section is meant to be applied on top of it for blending.
