Who does not love vacations? Everyone does. Everyone wants to “Get Away”. But realistically speaking, those nice, long vacations aren’t so easy to have. It takes time, money and planning too. Even if you did have the money and planning down, taking time off can be very difficult. But there are so many places around the country where you can spend quality time. In Southern California, there are so many places to visit within a few hours away. You can have a very nice and relaxing weekend trip around the area.

The luxurious St. Regis Monarch Beach can be a good destination. The pictures speak for themselves. It is a gorgeous resort with a big pool, golf courses, spacious rooms with tubs to soak in, a relaxing spa and restaurants to wine and dine at. The Michael Mina Restaurant is truly a good one. Top-notch fine dining while watching the sun set can be simply amazing. It is absolutely perfect for a romantic dinner or business dinner.

A few dishes can be mentioned here. Those are Seasonal Shellfish: kumamoto oysters, marinated abalone sashimi, spot prawn cocktail, dungeness crab leg, uni flan, giant clam ceviche and so on. This was the first dish presented. It can be described as simply amazing. The General Manager informed that those stones in the plate were handpicked from the beach. The food itself was fresh and delicious. Very simple. When seafood is that fresh, you don’t have to do much because the quality speaks for itself.
Overall it can be a very relaxing and luxurious dinner experience. The service appears to be excellent and very attentive. There’s just something about this resort which will make you happy and you will surele come again and again whether it’s for a mini vacation or for their wine dinners hosted every quarter at Motif.
