From the house of Swiss watch comes Honey
by Luxury.Net
Do you find anything common between a super stylish watch and jar of honey? Well most of you may find this weird but not for long as soon you would be forced to believe that both of these two entirely different things do have one thing in common. It’s the brand name, yes! Jaeger-LeCoultre, one of the finest Swiss haute horlogerie manufacturer is all set to launch Honey from its famous watch making region at the Vallée de Joux that sits high at about 1,000 meters elevation in Switzerland.
This step taken by Jaeger-LeCoultre which was till now all about haute couture fashion accessories would soon discover its new introduction. If you have visited the Grand Watchmaking House, (Grande Maison, in French) recently and noticed ten new bee hive installations, then you have a slight hint. Taking advantage of its location amidst “lake and forests in the Vallée de Joux”, the watch making brand has decided to bring an “authentic, original souvenir” to every one of its luxury-loving visitor. So the next time you plan to discover the art of watchmaking, make sure you taste “Honey from the Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre”.
With its own production in place, the set up will be managed by Franck Crozet, a professional bee keeper in the region. This initiative will show the world that Jaeger-LeCoultre is committed to keeping the ecological balance right. Bees are supposed to be key players in the process of pollination.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has its historic roots located in an exceptional place between lake and forests in the Vallée de Joux, of which it remains particularly concerned by and involved in the integration of its Manufacture within its natural environment. Since July, observant visitors can spot ten hives newly installed in front of the entrance of the Grand Watchmaking House, or Grande Maison as it is known in French.
The idea was to produce a limited amount of honey each year to offer visitors to the manufacture. Jaeger-LeCoultre has entered into a whole new world of bees and is all set to amaze us once again but this time it won’t be some watch but it is going to be a jar of pure and sweet self made honey. What a sweet thought it is.
